Corfu Old Town and Old Fortress
Corfu's major August celebrations honour Saint Spyridon and the island's deliverance from the Ottoman siege of 1716. Festivities begin on 10 August with music and the traditional Varkarola, followed by the Saint Spyridon procession on 11 August.
