Apotripiti Beach

A smaller beach and rocky cove area on the western side of Sidari, offering a quieter alternative to the resort's main beach.

There is no dependable full beach sunbed service. A few loungers may occasionally be associated with the nearby bar, but visitors should be prepared to use towels and bring their own shade.

Approx. 75m long and around 7m wide

A smaller beach and rocky cove area on the western side of Sidari, offering a quieter alternative to the resort's main beach.

Apotripiti Beach has a sand, rock shoreline. Short local-road and foot access from the western side of Sidari.

What to expect

The shoreline is predominantly a mixture of sand and rock. Beach shoes can be useful, particularly when entering and leaving the water. The sandy sections are comfortable for anyone planning to spend several hours on the beach. It is a compact beach, which gives it an intimate feel but means space can become limited at the busiest times of day.

Swimming and sea conditions

The bay is relatively sheltered, which can help keep conditions more settled than on exposed stretches of coast. Snorkelling is another reason to consider it, especially around rocky edges or clearer sections away from the busiest swimmers.

Who this beach suits

This beach is particularly well suited to swimming, scenic views and couples. Its quieter character is part of the appeal, particularly if you want to get away from the island's busier resort beaches. If you can stay into the evening, it is also a good setting for watching the sunset.

Getting there and practical information

Short local-road and foot access from the western side of Sidari.

Planning your visit

If you are visiting in July or August, arriving earlier in the day usually gives you more choice of space at a compact beach like this. If sunset is one of the reasons you are visiting, plan to stay beyond the main beach-going hours rather than leaving in mid-afternoon.

Is it the right beach for you?

Choose it if clear-water swimming and time in the sea are more important than a large resort-style setup.
