Erimitis Beaches

A chain of tiny, isolated pebble coves between Agios Stefanos and Kassiopi, with exceptionally clear water and almost no development.

Erimitis Beaches has a pebble shoreline. Most Erimitis coves are reached by sea; a few can be reached on foot by small natural paths.

The beach is essentially unorganised. There are no dependable food or drink facilities at the shoreline.

This directory record deliberately groups Vouvalomantria, Vrachli, Tzoufakia, Arias, Akoli, Vromolimni, Kaminakia, Korfovounia, Aspalathras and Xylokeratia to avoid thin duplicate pages.

What to expect

The shoreline is predominantly pebble. Beach shoes can be useful, particularly when entering and leaving the water. The bathing area is broken into smaller coves, creating a more intimate feel but giving less uninterrupted space than a long open beach.

Swimming and sea conditions

Water clarity is one of the attractions here, especially on calm days. The bay is relatively sheltered, which can help keep conditions more settled than on exposed stretches of coast. Snorkelling is another reason to consider it, especially around rocky edges or clearer sections away from the busiest swimmers. It is less naturally suited to very young children than Corfu's broad, shallow sandy beaches.

Who this beach suits

This beach is particularly well suited to nature lovers, boat trips, a quieter beach day and snorkelling. Its quieter character is part of the appeal, particularly if you want to get away from the island's busier resort beaches.

Facilities

This is essentially an unorganised beach, so it suits visitors who are happy with a simpler, more natural setup. Do not rely on finding sunbed hire, so bringing your own towel, shade or beach umbrella can be worthwhile. There are no dependable food or drink facilities right on the shoreline, so take water and anything else you may need. Facilities are limited, so do not assume that toilets, showers and changing facilities will be available.

Planning your visit

If you are visiting in July or August, arriving earlier in the day usually gives you more choice of space at a compact beach like this. Because refreshments are limited, bring drinking water and anything else you are likely to need before making the final approach.
