Approx. 1.4km long and around 10m wide

A long, narrow resort beach with clear shallow water, extensive watersports and restaurants, bars and shops directly behind the shore.

Ipsos Beach has a pebble, sand shoreline. Very easy access from the coastal road through Ipsos.

The beach is organised or has organised sections in season. Food or drink is available at the beach or immediately nearby. Seasonal sunbeds are available. Seasonal watersports are available.

What to expect

The shoreline is predominantly a mixture of pebble and sand. Beach shoes can be useful, particularly when entering and leaving the water. The sandy sections are comfortable for anyone planning to spend several hours on the beach. The generous stretch of shoreline gives you more room to spread out than at Corfu's smaller coves and makes it a good option if you enjoy beach walks as well as swimming.

Swimming and sea conditions

Entry to the sea is gradual and relatively shallow near the shoreline. Conditions are often calm, particularly during settled summer weather.

Who this beach suits

This beach is particularly well suited to swimming, watersports, nightlife and families. In the main summer season, expect a livelier and more sociable atmosphere rather than complete seclusion.

Facilities

There are organised sections in season, making it easier to settle in for a full beach day. Most sections have seasonal sunbeds and parasols run by nearby cafés and beach operators. A very large choice of bars, cafés, tavernas and restaurants lines the road opposite the beach. Established seasonal watersports, diving and small-boat rentals operate along the beach. Useful beach amenities include toilets, showers and changing facilities.

Getting there and practical information

Parking is mainly roadside along the coastal road and can be difficult at peak times. Very easy access from the coastal road through Ipsos. Current mapped beach information records an accessible ramp. Ipsos is served by Corfu City Bus routes; check the current timetable.

Planning your visit

For a full beach day, late morning through the afternoon gives you the best chance of finding seasonal services operating, although this is also when organised beaches are busiest. Parking is generally easier before the main lunchtime rush.

Is it the right beach for you?

Choose it if you want an easy, low-effort beach day with enough nearby facilities to stay comfortably for several hours.
