Approx. 2km total and around 25m wide

A long sandy resort beach at Corfu's southern party hub, with organised facilities, watersports, boat trips and nightlife directly behind it.

Kavos Beach has a sand shoreline. Very easy access from Kavos resort.

The beach is organised or has organised sections in season. Food or drink is available at the beach or immediately nearby. Seasonal sunbeds are available. Seasonal watersports are available.

What to expect

The shoreline is predominantly sand. The sandy sections are comfortable for anyone planning to spend several hours on the beach. The generous stretch of shoreline gives you more room to spread out than at Corfu's smaller coves and makes it a good option if you enjoy beach walks as well as swimming.

Swimming and sea conditions

Entry to the sea is gradual and relatively shallow near the shoreline. Conditions are often calm, particularly during settled summer weather.

Who this beach suits

This beach is particularly well suited to nightlife, watersports, boat trips and younger travellers. In the main summer season, expect a livelier and more sociable atmosphere rather than complete seclusion.

Facilities

There are organised sections in season, making it easier to settle in for a full beach day. Seasonal sunbeds and parasols are available; prices and operating dates vary by provider. Food and drink are available at the beach or within a short walk; opening can be seasonal. Seasonal watersports are available; activities and operating dates vary by local provider. Useful beach amenities include toilets, showers and changing facilities.

Getting there and practical information

Very easy access from Kavos resort. Kavos is connected to Corfu Town by Green Bus services; check the current timetable.

Planning your visit

For a full beach day, late morning through the afternoon gives you the best chance of finding seasonal services operating, although this is also when organised beaches are busiest.

Is it the right beach for you?

Choose it if you prefer a sociable beach with nearby services and activity rather than somewhere completely remote.
