Approx. 85m long and around 20m wide

The main beach below Liapades, a scenic sand-and-pebble cove with organised facilities, clear water and boat access to nearby hidden bays.

Liapades Beach has a sand, pebble shoreline. Road access descends to the main Liapades/Gefyra beach.

The beach is organised or has organised sections in season. Food or drink is available at the beach or immediately nearby. Seasonal sunbeds are available. Seasonal watersports are available.

What to expect

The shoreline is predominantly a mixture of sand and pebble. Beach shoes can be useful, particularly when entering and leaving the water. The sandy sections are comfortable for anyone planning to spend several hours on the beach. It offers a useful middle ground: enough space for a proper beach day without feeling as sprawling as Corfu's largest resort beaches.

Swimming and sea conditions

Water clarity is one of the attractions here, especially on calm days. Snorkelling is another reason to consider it, especially around rocky edges or clearer sections away from the busiest swimmers. It is generally a family-friendly option, with normal supervision around the water.

Who this beach suits

This beach is particularly well suited to families, swimming, boat trips and watersports. If you can stay into the evening, it is also a good setting for watching the sunset.

Facilities

There are organised sections in season, making it easier to settle in for a full beach day. Seasonal sunbeds and parasols are available; prices and operating dates vary by provider. Food and drink are available at the beach or within a short walk; opening can be seasonal. Seasonal watersports are available; activities and operating dates vary by local provider. Useful beach amenities include toilets, showers and changing facilities.

Getting there and practical information

Road access descends to the main Liapades/Gefyra beach. Green Bus route A11 serves Liapades from Corfu Town; allow for the downhill walk to the beach.

Planning your visit

If you are visiting in July or August, arriving earlier in the day usually gives you more choice of space at a compact beach like this. If sunset is one of the reasons you are visiting, plan to stay beyond the main beach-going hours rather than leaving in mid-afternoon.

Is it the right beach for you?

Choose it if you want an easy, low-effort beach day with enough nearby facilities to stay comfortably for several hours.
