Approx. 650m long and around 5m wide

A relaxed sand-and-pebble beach beside the Messonghi River, with calm water, watersports and family-friendly resort facilities.

Messonghi Beach has a sand, pebble shoreline. Easy access from Messonghi village.

The beach is organised or has organised sections in season. Food or drink is available at the beach or immediately nearby. Seasonal sunbeds are available. Seasonal watersports are available.

What to expect

The shoreline is predominantly a mixture of sand and pebble. Beach shoes can be useful, particularly when entering and leaving the water. The sandy sections are comfortable for anyone planning to spend several hours on the beach. The generous stretch of shoreline gives you more room to spread out than at Corfu's smaller coves and makes it a good option if you enjoy beach walks as well as swimming.

Swimming and sea conditions

Entry to the sea is gradual and relatively shallow near the shoreline. Conditions are often calm, particularly during settled summer weather.

Who this beach suits

This beach is particularly well suited to families, swimming, watersports and seaside dining.

Food and drink are available at the beach or within a short walk; opening can be seasonal. Seasonal watersports are available; activities and operating dates vary by local provider.
