Approx. 1.5km long and 5–15m wide

A popular sand-and-pebble resort beach with shallow water, extensive facilities, watersports and a strong family appeal.

Moraitika Beach has a sand, pebble shoreline. Very easy access from Moraitika resort.

The beach is organised or has organised sections in season. Food or drink is available at the beach or immediately nearby. Seasonal sunbeds are available. Seasonal watersports are available.

What to expect

The shoreline is predominantly a mixture of sand and pebble. Beach shoes can be useful, particularly when entering and leaving the water. The sandy sections are comfortable for anyone planning to spend several hours on the beach. The generous stretch of shoreline gives you more room to spread out than at Corfu's smaller coves and makes it a good option if you enjoy beach walks as well as swimming.

Swimming and sea conditions

Entry to the sea is gradual and relatively shallow near the shoreline. Conditions are often calm, particularly during settled summer weather. Snorkelling is another reason to consider it, especially around rocky edges or clearer sections away from the busiest swimmers.

Who this beach suits

This beach is particularly well suited to families, swimming, watersports and a convenient resort beach. In the main summer season, expect a livelier and more sociable atmosphere rather than complete seclusion.

Facilities

There are organised sections in season, making it easier to settle in for a full beach day. Sunbeds and parasols are widely available from organised beachfront sections in season. Numerous beachfront tavernas, bars and cafés line the resort beach. Seasonal watersports include pedalos, paddleboarding and motorised activities from local operators. Useful beach amenities include toilets, showers and changing facilities.

Getting there and practical information

Street parking is available throughout Moraitika and on roads leading towards the beach; spaces are busier in peak season. Very easy access from Moraitika resort. Flat, straightforward access from the resort, with paved approaches in some sections. Green Bus route B7 connects Corfu Town with Moraitika; stops are on the main road in the resort.

Planning your visit

For a full beach day, late morning through the afternoon gives you the best chance of finding seasonal services operating, although this is also when organised beaches are busiest. Parking is generally easier before the main lunchtime rush.

Blue Flag

The beach is recorded as a Blue Flag beach for 2026, which may appeal to visitors who value recognised standards for bathing-water quality, environmental management and beach services.

Is it the right beach for you?

Choose it if you want an easy, low-effort beach day with enough nearby facilities to stay comfortably for several hours.
