Acharavi
A Major North Corfu Base beside a Long Beach
About Acharavi
On this page: At a glance · Beaches · Things to do · Food & drink · Where to stay
Acharavi is one of northern Corfu's main service and holiday centres, with a long beach as well as shops, supermarkets, restaurants and a broad choice of accommodation. It feels more like a working town-resort than a small seasonal beach village.
Its position gives good access to Roda, Almyros, the inland villages and routes towards Old Perithia and Mount Pantokrator.
A practical centre as well as a beach stay
Acharavi offers shops and services alongside its long beachfront, which can make it useful for a longer northern stay. The main street and beach run as different parts of the resort. When choosing a property, compare the route between them rather than assuming a main-road address is immediately on the sand.
Using the town as a northern base
Side roads lead towards the shore, and the existing beach guide notes that some are dead ends. Choose an access point before driving down. Roda and Almyros offer contrasting coastal visits, while an inland excursion can add village scenery. For a bus-based stay, check A3 services and the walk from the actual stop to your accommodation. For beach mobility needs, confirm the particular access route and surface rather than extending one easy approach to the entire coastline.

Where to stay
Planning your
Kassiopi stay
Do I need a car?
A car is not essential for exploring locally, but can be useful for trips farther afield. Check your accommodation’s position and the route to the centre before deciding.
What are the beaches like?
Our individual guides cover Kalamionas, Bataria, Pipitos, Imerolia and Kanoni. Several are compact pebble coves; each has its own access and facilities.
Is Kassiopi quiet in the evenings?
Harbour-front dining, cocktails and music bars contribute to its sociable atmosphere. Check neighbouring venues with your host if quiet evenings matter.
Can I reach Kassiopi by bus?
Check Green Bus A4 and the operator’s current timetable for your dates, exact stop, last return and final route to your accommodation.
What can I explore nearby?
Avlaki and Kerasia have their own destination guides. Check the actual road or walking route before setting out; closeness on a map does not establish an easy walk.
