Agios Stefanos Avliotes

Relaxed Beach Holidays on Corfu's North West Coast

About Agios Stefanos Avliotes

On this page: At a glance   ·   Beaches   ·   Things to do   ·   Food & drink   ·   Where to stay

The resort is centred on its long sandy beach, with most holiday essentials, places to eat and evening venues within a relatively compact area. Its position also makes it a useful base for exploring Arillas, Avliotes, Afionas, Porto Timoni, Peroulades and the wider north-west coast.

Visitors can enjoy the resort without a car, although having one gives much more freedom to explore surrounding villages, viewpoints and beaches.

Beach days with a north-west base

The long sandy beach is the natural starting point for a stay, with food and evening venues forming the rest of the resort experience. Choose your accommodation by its actual position around the bay, not just the Agios Stefanos name. This is the north-west resort associated with Avliotes, distinct from the small north-east harbour village.

Exploring beyond the bay

Pick one inland or coastal outing at a time: Arillas offers another beach setting, while Avliotes and Afionas give a village contrast. Any trip towards Porto Timoni needs a separate access plan. If considering an island excursion from the harbour, confirm the current operator, sailing date and return rather than assuming daily connections. Green Bus A1 is the route to check for the north-west resort; the same name elsewhere on Corfu can lead to booking mistakes.

Planning your
Kassiopi stay

Do I need a car?
A car is not essential for exploring locally, but can be useful for trips farther afield. Check your accommodation’s position and the route to the centre before deciding.

What are the beaches like?
Our individual guides cover Kalamionas, Bataria, Pipitos, Imerolia and Kanoni. Several are compact pebble coves; each has its own access and facilities.

Is Kassiopi quiet in the evenings?
Harbour-front dining, cocktails and music bars contribute to its sociable atmosphere. Check neighbouring venues with your host if quiet evenings matter.

Can I reach Kassiopi by bus?
Check Green Bus A4 and the operator’s current timetable for your dates, exact stop, last return and final route to your accommodation.

What can I explore nearby?
Avlaki and Kerasia have their own destination guides. Check the actual road or walking route before setting out; closeness on a map does not establish an easy walk.
