Almyros
Long Beaches and a Quieter Side of North Corfu
About Almyros
On this page: At a glance · Beaches · Things to do · Food & drink · Where to stay
Almyros extends east from Acharavi along a long, open section of the north coast. Development is more spread out than in Acharavi, giving parts of the area a quieter and less urban feel.
It particularly suits visitors interested in beach time, nature and a peaceful base while still being close enough to Acharavi for a wider range of shops and services.
Space along the north coast
Almyros is a different choice from the busier service centre at Acharavi. The beach and open coastal setting are the main reasons to stay, so compare the precise property position with the stretch of shore you want to use. A hotel with extensive facilities does not establish that those facilities are available to everyone staying in the wider area.
Balancing a quieter setting with daily needs
Ask how you will reach shops, dinner and the nearest useful transport stop from the accommodation itself. Acharavi can provide a separate services or evening outing, but plan the journey back rather than assuming the whole coastal distance is a comfortable walk. For a beach visit, check seasonal facilities on the section you choose. On an exploration day, select one inland or coastal destination and leave time to enjoy Almyros rather than using it only as a sleeping base.

Where to stay
Planning your
Kassiopi stay
Do I need a car?
A car is not essential for exploring locally, but can be useful for trips farther afield. Check your accommodation’s position and the route to the centre before deciding.
What are the beaches like?
Our individual guides cover Kalamionas, Bataria, Pipitos, Imerolia and Kanoni. Several are compact pebble coves; each has its own access and facilities.
Is Kassiopi quiet in the evenings?
Harbour-front dining, cocktails and music bars contribute to its sociable atmosphere. Check neighbouring venues with your host if quiet evenings matter.
Can I reach Kassiopi by bus?
Check Green Bus A4 and the operator’s current timetable for your dates, exact stop, last return and final route to your accommodation.
What can I explore nearby?
Avlaki and Kerasia have their own destination guides. Check the actual road or walking route before setting out; closeness on a map does not establish an easy walk.
