A historic hillside village with wide south Corfu views

About Chlomos

Chlomos is a traditional hillside village in southern Corfu, with old houses, narrow lanes and expansive views across the surrounding countryside and coast.

Lanes, houses and a broad outlook

Chlomos rewards a slower visit on foot. Its older buildings, narrow lanes and elevated outlook give it a different rhythm from the coastal holiday areas. Keep the village itself as the focus of the stop: explore a little, pause for a drink or meal if somewhere is open, and leave time to enjoy the surrounding landscape.

An inland stop on a southern route

Messonghi and Agios Georgios South are separate coastal choices, not beaches within the village. Pick one side of the island for the rest of the day rather than trying to squeeze in every nearby resort. Drivers should settle parking before entering the narrowest lanes. If visiting by B12, match the visit to the current return timetable; a village stop and a late coastal dinner may need different transport arrangements.

Planning your
Kassiopi stay

Do I need a car?
A car is not essential for exploring locally, but can be useful for trips farther afield. Check your accommodation’s position and the route to the centre before deciding.

What are the beaches like?
Our individual guides cover Kalamionas, Bataria, Pipitos, Imerolia and Kanoni. Several are compact pebble coves; each has its own access and facilities.

Is Kassiopi quiet in the evenings?
Harbour-front dining, cocktails and music bars contribute to its sociable atmosphere. Check neighbouring venues with your host if quiet evenings matter.

Can I reach Kassiopi by bus?
Check Green Bus A4 and the operator’s current timetable for your dates, exact stop, last return and final route to your accommodation.

What can I explore nearby?
Avlaki and Kerasia have their own destination guides. Check the actual road or walking route before setting out; closeness on a map does not establish an easy walk.
