Kanoni
Iconic Views over Vlacherna and Mouse Island
About Kanoni

Kanoni is one of Corfu's classic sightseeing stops, best known for the elevated view towards Vlacherna Monastery and Pontikonisi, or Mouse Island. Aircraft approaching the nearby airport add another distinctive feature to the viewpoint.
The area is close to Corfu Town and can be combined with Mon Repos, Paleopolis and other central Corfu attractions.
Two views, with separate visits
Kanoni is known for the outlook towards Vlacherna and Pontikonisi and for aircraft approaching the airport. Enjoying the view, visiting the monastery area and taking a boat to Pontikonisi are different parts of the outing. Check the day's boat operation and access before planning around a crossing.
Choosing a visit or accommodation
If plane spotting is part of the appeal, allow time for it rather than combining too many distant sights. If booking a stay, ask about the exact setting and aircraft noise at the property, particularly if quiet nights matter. City Bus 2a is the route to investigate for Kanoni. For a waterfront walk or a trip into the Old Town, plan the actual connection; a landmark view does not by itself describe the ease of travelling between places.

Where to stay
Planning your
Kassiopi stay
Do I need a car?
A car is not essential for exploring locally, but can be useful for trips farther afield. Check your accommodation’s position and the route to the centre before deciding.
What are the beaches like?
Our individual guides cover Kalamionas, Bataria, Pipitos, Imerolia and Kanoni. Several are compact pebble coves; each has its own access and facilities.
Is Kassiopi quiet in the evenings?
Harbour-front dining, cocktails and music bars contribute to its sociable atmosphere. Check neighbouring venues with your host if quiet evenings matter.
Can I reach Kassiopi by bus?
Check Green Bus A4 and the operator’s current timetable for your dates, exact stop, last return and final route to your accommodation.
What can I explore nearby?
Avlaki and Kerasia have their own destination guides. Check the actual road or walking route before setting out; closeness on a map does not establish an easy walk.
