Kommeno

A Scenic Peninsula with Coastal Views and Upscale Stays

About Kommeno

On this page: At a glance   ·   Beaches   ·   Things to do   ·   Food & drink   ·   Where to stay

Kommeno is a scenic peninsula between Gouvia and Dassia with coastal views, hotels, villas and a more secluded atmosphere than the larger neighbouring resorts. Development is mainly accommodation-led rather than centred on a traditional village core.

It particularly suits couples and travellers looking for a quieter or more upscale base within easy reach of Corfu Town and the east coast.

Peninsula views with a distinct setting

Kommeno offers a peninsula setting with hotels and villas between the Gouvia and Dassia areas. The coast and outlook are part of its appeal, but properties can have different relationships with the shore. Confirm which facilities belong to the accommodation and what access is available beyond its grounds.

Looking beyond proximity on a map

The City Bus 7 corridor is useful to investigate, but an operator's Kommeno reference does not establish a stop at every peninsula property. Ask about the actual walk, gradients and evening return options. If you expect to dine in Gouvia or Dassia regularly, compare those journeys before booking. A quieter property setting can work well with planned transfers, while visitors who want everything on foot should verify that routine carefully.

Planning your
Kassiopi stay

Do I need a car?
A car is not essential for exploring locally, but can be useful for trips farther afield. Check your accommodation’s position and the route to the centre before deciding.

What are the beaches like?
Our individual guides cover Kalamionas, Bataria, Pipitos, Imerolia and Kanoni. Several are compact pebble coves; each has its own access and facilities.

Is Kassiopi quiet in the evenings?
Harbour-front dining, cocktails and music bars contribute to its sociable atmosphere. Check neighbouring venues with your host if quiet evenings matter.

Can I reach Kassiopi by bus?
Check Green Bus A4 and the operator’s current timetable for your dates, exact stop, last return and final route to your accommodation.

What can I explore nearby?
Avlaki and Kerasia have their own destination guides. Check the actual road or walking route before setting out; closeness on a map does not establish an easy walk.
