Lefkimmi
A Major Southern Town with Local Character and Services
About Lefkimmi

Lefkimmi is one of the largest towns in southern Corfu and functions as an important local centre for shops, services and transport. Its neighbourhoods and canal area offer a different experience from the nearby beach resorts.
The town is a useful base for exploring Kavos, the southern beaches and ferry routes from the wider Lefkimmi area.
A southern town with different parts to explore
Lefkimmi offers local neighbourhoods, shops and a canal-side setting rather than a single beach-resort centre. The wider area also includes the port and the Alykes salt-pan landscape, which are separate places to plan for. Choose the part of town or countryside that interests you instead of expecting one arrival point to serve everything.
Town, port and nature need separate directions
If travelling by ferry, confirm the current operator and the exact port rather than assuming a town-centre bus stop is at the terminal. For a nature outing around Alykes, check access and current conditions while avoiding disturbance to wildlife. If staying in Lefkimmi, compare the property's position with everyday shopping and the coastal trips you expect to make. A town base can suit exploration, but it is different from an address directly on a beach.

Where to stay
Planning your
Kassiopi stay
Do I need a car?
A car is not essential for exploring locally, but can be useful for trips farther afield. Check your accommodation’s position and the route to the centre before deciding.
What are the beaches like?
Our individual guides cover Kalamionas, Bataria, Pipitos, Imerolia and Kanoni. Several are compact pebble coves; each has its own access and facilities.
Is Kassiopi quiet in the evenings?
Harbour-front dining, cocktails and music bars contribute to its sociable atmosphere. Check neighbouring venues with your host if quiet evenings matter.
Can I reach Kassiopi by bus?
Check Green Bus A4 and the operator’s current timetable for your dates, exact stop, last return and final route to your accommodation.
What can I explore nearby?
Avlaki and Kerasia have their own destination guides. Check the actual road or walking route before setting out; closeness on a map does not establish an easy walk.
