Sand dunes and coastline in South West Corfu

Paramonas

A Quiet West-Coast Beach with Sunset Views

About Paramonas

On this page: At a glance   ·   Beaches   ·   Things to do   ·   Food & drink   ·   Where to stay

Paramonas is a small west-facing beach area below the hills of south-west Corfu. Its scale and rural surroundings create a quieter atmosphere than the island's larger resorts.

It particularly suits couples and independent travellers looking for beach time, sunsets and a low-key base, with Agios Mattheos and other southern villages nearby.

A smaller west-coast beach stay

Paramonas is a place to focus on the shore, a meal and the surrounding rural scenery. Accommodation is smaller in scale than in some major resorts, but check the facilities of the precise property rather than extending one hotel's services to the whole destination. Seasonal beach facilities should also be confirmed for the section and dates you choose.

Planning beyond the beach

Agios Mattheos offers a separate inland outing and a change of scene. For a longer stay, ask where you will buy supplies and how you will reach evening meals if they are away from the property. Arrange transport rather than assuming a direct beach bus connection. If visiting for sunset, establish the return drive or transfer before the evening. A quiet setting can be part of the appeal without requiring a packed sightseeing schedule.

Planning your
Kassiopi stay

Do I need a car?
A car is not essential for exploring locally, but can be useful for trips farther afield. Check your accommodation’s position and the route to the centre before deciding.

What are the beaches like?
Our individual guides cover Kalamionas, Bataria, Pipitos, Imerolia and Kanoni. Several are compact pebble coves; each has its own access and facilities.

Is Kassiopi quiet in the evenings?
Harbour-front dining, cocktails and music bars contribute to its sociable atmosphere. Check neighbouring venues with your host if quiet evenings matter.

Can I reach Kassiopi by bus?
Check Green Bus A4 and the operator’s current timetable for your dates, exact stop, last return and final route to your accommodation.

What can I explore nearby?
Avlaki and Kerasia have their own destination guides. Check the actual road or walking route before setting out; closeness on a map does not establish an easy walk.
