Dramatic beaches and coastline of West Corfu

Pentati

A traditional west-coast village above the sea

About Pentati

On this page: At a glance   ·   Beaches   ·   Things to do   ·   Food & drink   ·   Where to stay

Pentati is a traditional west Corfu village set above the coast, with local tavernas and sea views and a quieter atmosphere than the island’s larger resorts.

West-coast views and village life

Pentati's elevated position is central to its character. The village's own community website describes its setting above Ortholithi, the offshore rock associated with the Agios Gordios coast, and its links with agriculture, fishing and tourism. Visit for the village and a meal with a coastal outlook, rather than expecting the beach to be outside every property.

Making a day of it

A Pentati visit can be paired with time at Agios Gordios, but plan the journey between the village and shore deliberately. A map's short distance does not describe the climb back. If you want to stay, ask about the last approach to the property and evening transport after dinner. For a day trip by B9 bus, check both directions first so that a relaxed meal does not become a missed last service.

Getting around, beaches and evenings

Green Bus B9; check the timetable, exact stop and final walk to your accommodation.

The village sits above the west coast, with small coastal spots below and the broad beach at Agios Gordios nearby.

Low-key evenings centred on local tavernas. Agios Gordios has a wider choice of bars and evening venues.

Where to stay

Planning your
Kassiopi stay

Do I need a car?
A car is not essential for exploring locally, but can be useful for trips farther afield. Check your accommodation’s position and the route to the centre before deciding.

What are the beaches like?
Our individual guides cover Kalamionas, Bataria, Pipitos, Imerolia and Kanoni. Several are compact pebble coves; each has its own access and facilities.

Is Kassiopi quiet in the evenings?
Harbour-front dining, cocktails and music bars contribute to its sociable atmosphere. Check neighbouring venues with your host if quiet evenings matter.

Can I reach Kassiopi by bus?
Check Green Bus A4 and the operator’s current timetable for your dates, exact stop, last return and final route to your accommodation.

What can I explore nearby?
Avlaki and Kerasia have their own destination guides. Check the actual road or walking route before setting out; closeness on a map does not establish an easy walk.
