Garitsa stretches along the waterfront immediately south of Corfu Town and is known for its broad promenade, sea views and relaxed local atmosphere. It is close enough to walk into the Old Town while feeling distinctly residential.
The seafront is popular for walking and dining, and the route continues towards Anemomylos and Mon Repos. It is particularly well suited to visitors interested in walking, food & drink, car-free holidays, scenic views and couples.
Getting there and practical information
Garitsa is an easy waterfront walk from the centre of Corfu Town and is also served by buses running along the southern side of town. Roadside parking can be limited at busy times, so walking from the Old Town is often the simplest way to enjoy the bay.
