East Corfu

Seaside Resorts, Easy Access & Beautiful Ionian Views

Explore Central Corfu

East Corfu combines established seaside resorts with excellent access to Corfu Town, making it a particularly convenient part of the island for visitors who want both a beach holiday and the opportunity to explore the capital regularly.

The region includes Kontokali, Gouvia, Kommeno, Dassia, Ipsos and Pyrgi. Gouvia is home to Corfu's major marina as well as the remains of the historic Venetian shipyards, while Dassia and Ipsos are long-established coastal resorts offering beaches, restaurants, bars and watersports.

The eastern coastline is sheltered by the mainland, and the official Corfu tourism organisation describes the waters on this side of the island as generally calmer than the more exposed west coast. This makes the east particularly attractive for swimming and boating.

Its location is another major advantage. The main eastern resorts are connected towards Corfu Town and are well positioned for travelling north towards Barbati and the North East.

East Corfu suits first-time visitors, couples, families and anyone who values convenience, restaurants, watersports and relatively straightforward access to Corfu Town.
