North Corfu

Beaches, Resorts, Mountains & Historic Villages

Explore Central Corfu

North Corfu offers one of the island's most varied holiday experiences, combining established coastal resorts with long beaches, traditional villages, countryside and the mountainous landscape surrounding Mount Pantokrator.

Sidari is one of the best-known resorts in this part of Corfu and is closely associated with the distinctive rock formations of Canal d'Amour. Further east, Roda and Acharavi provide long stretches of coastline and established holiday facilities, while Almyros offers a more relaxed coastal setting.

Travel inland and the character changes considerably. Traditional settlements, olive-covered countryside and mountain roads provide a very different experience from the main resorts. Old Perithia is one of the most distinctive examples, with historic stone buildings beneath Mount Pantokrator and a strong sense of Corfu's past.

North Corfu is therefore a particularly useful base for visitors who want more than just a beach holiday. Families and couples can enjoy the coastal resorts while walkers, drivers and independent travellers have plenty of opportunities to explore villages, landscapes and historic locations away from the seafront.
