Coastal villages and Ionian Sea in South East Corfu

Boukari

Waterfront Dining and a Quiet Fishing-Village Atmosphere

About Boukari

On this page: At a glance   ·   Beaches   ·   Things to do   ·   Food & drink   ·   Where to stay

Boukari is a small coastal settlement known for waterfront tavernas, fishing-village character and a peaceful shoreline. It is far less developed than the main south-east resorts.

The area is especially attractive for leisurely drives, seafood stops and quiet stays, with Petriti and other southern coastal villages nearby.

A waterfront stop with a fishing-village setting

Boukari is a place to build time around a meal and the coastal outlook rather than a busy sightseeing schedule. The smaller shoreline and village character distinguish it from Moraitika and Messonghi. Confirm the particular taverna or accommodation you want rather than assuming a broad range of services at every point on the coast.

A coastal journey with time to stop

Petriti offers a separate harbour visit along the wider south-east route. If combining them, leave time for each rather than treating both as brief photo stops. Green Bus B11 is the connection to investigate for Boukari; confirm its dates, stop and return before planning a meal around it. Drivers should check parking with the venue or host and keep the narrow waterfront road and access to homes clear.

Planning your
Kassiopi stay

Do I need a car?
A car is not essential for exploring locally, but can be useful for trips farther afield. Check your accommodation’s position and the route to the centre before deciding.

What are the beaches like?
Our individual guides cover Kalamionas, Bataria, Pipitos, Imerolia and Kanoni. Several are compact pebble coves; each has its own access and facilities.

Is Kassiopi quiet in the evenings?
Harbour-front dining, cocktails and music bars contribute to its sociable atmosphere. Check neighbouring venues with your host if quiet evenings matter.

Can I reach Kassiopi by bus?
Check Green Bus A4 and the operator’s current timetable for your dates, exact stop, last return and final route to your accommodation.

What can I explore nearby?
Avlaki and Kerasia have their own destination guides. Check the actual road or walking route before setting out; closeness on a map does not establish an easy walk.
