Erikousa

A peaceful Diapontian island of sandy beaches and slow island life

About Erikousa

On this page: At a glance   ·   Beaches   ·   Things to do   ·   Food & drink   ·   Where to stay

Erikousa is the northernmost of the inhabited Diapontian Islands, lying north-west of Corfu.

An island stay, with time to slow down

Erikousa is a separate island, so the journey is part of the holiday rather than a road transfer from Corfu Airport. Porto puts the harbour and a sandy beach together; Bragini offers another coastal outing. A stay here makes most sense when you want to spend time on the island itself, rather than use it as a base for daily sightseeing around Corfu.

Planning the crossing and your stay

Confirm the sailing date, departure port, return journey and luggage arrangements before committing to accommodation. Leave room in the itinerary for weather-related changes, particularly when connecting with a flight. Ask your host about the route from the harbour, food shopping and any bicycle or luggage-transfer arrangements. For a short visit, choose one beach and a leisurely meal rather than trying to cover every path.

Getting around, beaches and evenings

Explore on foot or by bicycle; check paths and local arrangements before setting out.

Sandy Porto beside the harbour, plus Bragini cove; check local access and sea conditions.

Very quiet. Evenings centre on a handful of tavernas and cafes around Porto rather than bars or clubs.

Planning your
Kassiopi stay

Do I need a car?
A car is not essential for exploring locally, but can be useful for trips farther afield. Check your accommodation’s position and the route to the centre before deciding.

What are the beaches like?
Our individual guides cover Kalamionas, Bataria, Pipitos, Imerolia and Kanoni. Several are compact pebble coves; each has its own access and facilities.

Is Kassiopi quiet in the evenings?
Harbour-front dining, cocktails and music bars contribute to its sociable atmosphere. Check neighbouring venues with your host if quiet evenings matter.

Can I reach Kassiopi by bus?
Check Green Bus A4 and the operator’s current timetable for your dates, exact stop, last return and final route to your accommodation.

What can I explore nearby?
Avlaki and Kerasia have their own destination guides. Check the actual road or walking route before setting out; closeness on a map does not establish an easy walk.
