About Kavos

On this page: At a glance   ·   Beaches   ·   Things to do   ·   Food & drink   ·   Where to stay

Kavos is Corfu's best-known nightlife resort, but it also has a long beach, accommodation, restaurants, boat trips and access to quieter scenery in the far south. The main strip is busiest in the summer season.

Visitors looking beyond the nightlife can explore nearby Arkoudilas and the surrounding countryside, making the area more varied than its party reputation alone suggests.

Choose the setting around the nightlife

Kavos combines an active summer entertainment scene with a beach and access to the far south's countryside. Its different sides are worth distinguishing when booking: a property close to late venues can offer a very different night from one farther away. Ask about the immediate surroundings rather than assuming all Kavos accommodation has the same noise level.

A quieter outing beyond the main strip

Arkoudillas offers a separate nature-and-coast excursion, with the route and current conditions to check before setting out. A boat trip also needs an operator booking and weather plan. Green Bus B1 is the connection to investigate for Kavos, including the last service after an evening out. If combining a stay with a ferry from the wider Lefkimmi area, establish the terminal transfer separately instead of treating the resort bus as a port shuttle.

Planning your
Kassiopi stay

Do I need a car?
A car is not essential for exploring locally, but can be useful for trips farther afield. Check your accommodation’s position and the route to the centre before deciding.

What are the beaches like?
Our individual guides cover Kalamionas, Bataria, Pipitos, Imerolia and Kanoni. Several are compact pebble coves; each has its own access and facilities.

Is Kassiopi quiet in the evenings?
Harbour-front dining, cocktails and music bars contribute to its sociable atmosphere. Check neighbouring venues with your host if quiet evenings matter.

Can I reach Kassiopi by bus?
Check Green Bus A4 and the operator’s current timetable for your dates, exact stop, last return and final route to your accommodation.

What can I explore nearby?
Avlaki and Kerasia have their own destination guides. Check the actual road or walking route before setting out; closeness on a map does not establish an easy walk.
