Pagoi is a traditional inland village in north-west Corfu on the route towards Agios Georgios Pagon, surrounded by olive-covered hills and offering a quieter contrast to the nearby coast.
Pagoi is a hillside village inland from Agios Georgios Pagon. Treat the village and the beachfront as separate locations when choosing accommodation or planning a visit.
Village first, beachfront separately
Pagoi and Agios Georgios Pagon share a name connection but offer different holiday settings. Pagoi is the inland village, with narrow, sloping lanes and olive-covered surroundings; the broad bay lies separately on the coast. Check which one an accommodation address refers to before assuming you can walk from the room to the beach.
A stop on the north-west route
The A7 connection makes the bus route worth investigating, although its date-specific timetable and exact stop still matter. For a day out, look around the village before continuing to the shore. If eating or staying here, establish where you can park without obstructing residents and how you will return from the coast. Treat any walking route between village and resort as a route to check, not a distance to judge from a pin on a map.

Spiros Bond 007 Cafe - Bar
A wonderfully distinctive cafe-bar in the traditional village of Pagoi, north-west Corfu, combining home-style Greek and Mediterranean food with a remarkable collection of James Bond memorabilia. The cafe stands at a genuine filming location from the 1981 James Bond film For Your Eyes Only. The famous yellow Citroën 2CV chase passed through Pagoi, and this corner is associated with the sequence in which the car overturns and is helped back onto its wheels. Inside, the walls are packed with Bond photographs, signed memorabilia, model cars and film-related pieces, including a chair marked ‘Roger Sat Here!’. Even for visitors who are not Bond enthusiasts, it makes an unusual stop when travelling between Agios Georgios Pagon and the inland villages.
Where to stay
Planning your
Kassiopi stay
Do I need a car?
A car is not essential for exploring locally, but can be useful for trips farther afield. Check your accommodation’s position and the route to the centre before deciding.
What are the beaches like?
Our individual guides cover Kalamionas, Bataria, Pipitos, Imerolia and Kanoni. Several are compact pebble coves; each has its own access and facilities.
Is Kassiopi quiet in the evenings?
Harbour-front dining, cocktails and music bars contribute to its sociable atmosphere. Check neighbouring venues with your host if quiet evenings matter.
Can I reach Kassiopi by bus?
Check Green Bus A4 and the operator’s current timetable for your dates, exact stop, last return and final route to your accommodation.
What can I explore nearby?
Avlaki and Kerasia have their own destination guides. Check the actual road or walking route before setting out; closeness on a map does not establish an easy walk.
