The exposed coastline is also associated with wind-based watersports. Visitors come primarily for nature, space, walking and the beach rather than for a dense resort centre. It is particularly well suited to visitors interested in beaches, nature, walking, watersports and photography.
Getting there and practical information
Chalikounas is best visited with your own transport because there is no direct public bus to the beach. The final road beside Korission Lagoon is unpaved in places, but there is extensive informal parking along the long shoreline.
