Glyfada
A Broad Sandy Beach on Corfu's West Coast
ABOUT
Glyfada is part of West Corfu. A popular west-coast beach destination known for its broad sandy beach, sunsets, accommodation and proximity to Pelekas.
Glyfada is one of Corfu's best-known sandy beaches, backed by green hills and focused primarily on beach holidays rather than a traditional village centre. Hotels, apartments and beach venues make up much of the local visitor infrastructure.
Pelekas sits on the hills above the area and provides a contrasting village experience, while nearby beaches give visitors additional options along the west coast. It is particularly well suited to visitors interested in beaches, families, couples, watersports and sunsets.
Getting there and practical information
Glyfada has a Green Bus connection from Corfu Town and free street parking around the resort. The beach sits below steep hills, so visitors staying higher above the bay should allow for a considerable climb when returning from the shore.
