North East Corfu
Beautiful Bays, Harbour Villages & Ionian Sea Views
Explore Central Corfu
North East Corfu is characterised by green hillsides descending towards a coastline of bays, coves and small harbour villages. The area has a distinct character, with beautiful views across the water and a strong connection with boating and the sea.
Kassiopi is the largest and liveliest destination in the region, combining a historic harbour, castle, shops, restaurants and nearby beaches. Travelling south along the coast brings you to smaller destinations including Avlaki, Agios Stefanos North East, Kerasia, Kalami, Kouloura, Agni, Kaminaki, Nissaki and Barbati.
Kalami sits within a green bay and is associated with writer Lawrence Durrell, while Kouloura and Agni represent the smaller harbour and waterfront character for which this coastline is well known. Barbati provides one of the region's larger and more popular beaches.
Boats are a particularly enjoyable way of experiencing this coastline, allowing visitors to move between bays and coastal villages from the water. North East Corfu is especially suited to couples, swimmers, boat lovers, villa holidays and visitors looking for scenic coastal surroundings with good food and attractive places to explore.
