Avlaki

A Spacious Bay and Quieter North East Coastline

About Avlaki

On this page: At a glance   ·   Beaches   ·   Things to do   ·   Food & drink   ·   Where to stay

Avlaki is centred on a broad bay near Kassiopi and is much quieter than the nearby town. The beach and open coastal setting are the main attractions, with fewer concentrated resort facilities.

It suits swimmers, walkers and visitors looking for a peaceful base while remaining close to Kassiopi and Agios Stefanos North East.

Let the bay set the pace

Avlaki offers a broad-bay visit close to Kassiopi, with swimming and time by the water as the main focus. A first-party operator based at the beach advertises boat and paddleboard hire. Check current availability, conditions and any experience requirements directly; those activities are optional services, not an assurance that the bay is suitable for every activity on every day.

A beach visit or a quieter base

For a day out, leave time for a meal and the shore rather than packing several bays into one afternoon. For a stay, check how you will reach shops and evening venues away from the property. Kassiopi provides a separate town outing, but arrange the return instead of assuming the whole connection is a simple beachfront walk. Confirm the exact access and parking arrangements with your accommodation or chosen operator.

Planning your
Kassiopi stay

Do I need a car?
A car is not essential for exploring locally, but can be useful for trips farther afield. Check your accommodation’s position and the route to the centre before deciding.

What are the beaches like?
Our individual guides cover Kalamionas, Bataria, Pipitos, Imerolia and Kanoni. Several are compact pebble coves; each has its own access and facilities.

Is Kassiopi quiet in the evenings?
Harbour-front dining, cocktails and music bars contribute to its sociable atmosphere. Check neighbouring venues with your host if quiet evenings matter.

Can I reach Kassiopi by bus?
Check Green Bus A4 and the operator’s current timetable for your dates, exact stop, last return and final route to your accommodation.

What can I explore nearby?
Avlaki and Kerasia have their own destination guides. Check the actual road or walking route before setting out; closeness on a map does not establish an easy walk.
