Moraitika
An Established Beach Resort in South East Corfu
About Moraitika
On this page: At a glance · Beaches · Things to do · Food & drink · Where to stay
Moraitika is a well-established south-east resort with accommodation, restaurants and shops spread between the older village area and the coast. The beach and easy access to neighbouring Messonghi are major parts of its appeal.
It works well for couples and families who want a developed resort base with plenty of services and the option to explore farther south.
Old village and coastal resort
Moraitika includes an older village uphill as well as the coastal holiday area and main-road services. That distinction has a practical effect on a stay. Decide whether you want the atmosphere of an upper-village address or the daily convenience of being closer to the beach, and ask about the walking route between them.
Combining nearby places
Messonghi provides a separate river-and-beach setting next door, while Boukari and Petriti offer quieter coastal outings farther south. Choose one excursion and leave time for Moraitika itself. If relying on buses, check the actual service, stop and return for your dates rather than assuming every southbound route calls at your property. For evenings, compare the immediate surroundings and route home with your preferences for activity or an earlier night.

Where to stay
Planning your
Kassiopi stay
Do I need a car?
A car is not essential for exploring locally, but can be useful for trips farther afield. Check your accommodation’s position and the route to the centre before deciding.
What are the beaches like?
Our individual guides cover Kalamionas, Bataria, Pipitos, Imerolia and Kanoni. Several are compact pebble coves; each has its own access and facilities.
Is Kassiopi quiet in the evenings?
Harbour-front dining, cocktails and music bars contribute to its sociable atmosphere. Check neighbouring venues with your host if quiet evenings matter.
Can I reach Kassiopi by bus?
Check Green Bus A4 and the operator’s current timetable for your dates, exact stop, last return and final route to your accommodation.
What can I explore nearby?
Avlaki and Kerasia have their own destination guides. Check the actual road or walking route before setting out; closeness on a map does not establish an easy walk.
