Paleokastritsa

Famous Bays, Green Cliffs & Boat Trips

ABOUT

Paleokastritsa is part of West Corfu. One of Corfu's most famous coastal destinations, known for multiple bays, beaches, green hills, a historic monastery and boat trips along the dramatic coastline.

Paleokastritsa is one of Corfu's most famous coastal areas, formed around a series of bays beneath steep green hills. Beaches, swimming and boat trips are central to the experience, with small boats offering access to caves and sections of coastline not easily seen from the road.

The monastery above the main bay provides a cultural and scenic highlight, while nearby Liapades and inland viewpoints make the wider area rewarding to explore beyond the waterfront. It is particularly well suited to visitors interested in beaches, boat trips, scenic views, families and couples.

Getting there and practical information

Paleokastritsa has Green Bus connections with Corfu Town, while Alipa harbour is a major departure point for local boat trips. Parking is available around the resort, including paid parking near the main beach, but summer traffic and parking demand can be heavy.
